Detected and repaired an outage in the Meta Pixel purchase event through an API audit.
Tibu's purchase event was zero every day from September 2 to 16, 2026; I confirmed the outage through the Graph API, repaired it and audited the site's index in the same project.

- Tibu
- Sector
- Women's shoe e-commerce
- Channel
- Meta Pixel · GA4 · Search Console · Google Ads
- Period
- Sep 2-29, 2026
- Role
- Tracking repair, technical SEO audit
Approach
- Set up Marketing API access through a Meta System User, and Tag Manager plus GA4 through a Google Cloud service account.
- On September 15 read the Pixel hourly through the Graph API /stats endpoint, confirmed and repaired the outage; confirmed it again the same way on September 19.
- Built the GA4 e-commerce event chain end to end, begin_checkout included, and verified it live.
- Stopped a Performance Max campaign that had no targeting and was serving worldwide.
- daily purchase events, Sep 2-16 (15 days)

01 Signal line
Where on the line did the purchase signal stop?
Signal · Sep 2-Sep 29, 2026
- Sep 2-16: the view signal arrives every day, add to cart now and then. Checkout and purchase stay at zero for 15 days.
- Sep 15: I confirmed the outage through the Graph API /stats endpoint at hourly granularity and fixed the purchase event.
- Sep 17-19: purchase events were recorded again, 8 in total. I confirmed it the same way on Sep 19.
- Open finding: Pixel and GA4 purchase counts for the same days do not match and a double fire is under investigation. The counts here are therefore not presented as final sales.
- Sep 2-Sep 16: 15 days · checkout and purchase 0
- Sep 15 · outage confirmed
- Sep 17-Sep 19: 8 purchase events
- Sep 19 · working again
On the left, a vertical line with four nodes: product view, add to cart, checkout, purchase. On the right, 28 days of event counts for each node as thin bars. For every day a red pulse travels down the line and dies at the deepest event recorded that day. From September 2 to 16 the pulses die at view or cart and the purchase node is hollow. On September 15 the outage is confirmed through the Graph API and the lower line is redrawn; September 17 shows 2, September 18 shows 4 and September 19 shows 2 purchase events. September 25 has 2 more; the other days are zero. Pixel and GA4 counts disagree, so these numbers are not treated as final.
02 Index audit
How many of 293 pages were in the Google index?
Crawl · Sep 2, 2026
- Audit of September 2, 2026: I classified all 293 pages. As the crawler passes, each square shows its status.
- Sorted into classes the picture is clear: 122 indexed (42%), 32 broken (404), 75 canonical redirects, 54 excluded.
- The 10 pages the report did not classify stand apart as "other"; 293 in total.
- 122 indexed
- 32 broken (404)
- 75 canonical redirect
- 54 excluded
- 10 other
- Total 293
Each square is one page of the Tibu site, 293 in total. First the squares are scattered and dim; a thin red crawler line passes from left to right, revealing each status, and the indexed counter rises from 0 to 122. Then the squares sort into five bands: 122 indexed, 32 broken (404), 75 canonical redirects, 54 excluded and 10 other pages the report did not classify. Source: Google Search Console page indexing report, September 2, 2026 (tf7).
Limitations
- Pixel and GA4 purchase counts for the same days do not match; I am investigating a suspected double fire and treat neither count as final.
- The chart measures whether the purchase event fires; it makes no claim that sales went up.
- Most days after the repair still show zero purchases; I draw no conclusion until the GA4 comparison is done.
- The index audit is a snapshot dated September 2, 2026; the rate after the fixes is not on this page.
Takeaways
- Seeing zero in a report and knowing the event did not fire are separate findings; reading raw hourly event stats through the API separated them.
- When the checkout, theme or an app changes, the purchase event is among the first things to break; event stats should be checked after every change.
